Seasonal Fulltime Speech Language Pathologist :

Family Achievement Center, Inc. (FAC) is looking for a highly motivated speech language pathologist to provide speech language pathology services to schools. This ideal position allows you to work school hours for 9 months, with summers and holidays off. Off-site supervision is available for a CFY candidate. During your time off, you may also be offered on-call hours in our innovative state-of-the-art clinic located in Woodbury, MN, servicing infants to adults. Therapist must be able to use a multidisciplinary approach to therapy. Masters Degree or higher in
Communication Disorders or Speech Language Pathology required. MN Department of Health and MN Dept. of Education License required. Sensory background, pediatric experience, and experience working in a school setting preferred. Working toward, or currently has, ASHA certification in clinical competency. Personal Care Attendant (PCA) :
We have a unique opportunity available to serve as a Personal Care Attendant for teen-aged son who has muscular dystrophy (with some sensory/cognitive issues).  In addition to personal care assistance, this person would have the opportunity to help increase independence in home and community setting.  Other responsibilities include physical and occupational therapy home programming exercises and strengthening to maintain level of performance; as well as provide assistance with planning and arranging for leisure activities with friends.  Responsibilities would also include driving our Rolex van. We are looking for a role model and friend plus someone who is willing to have fun at work, going to movies, shopping and attending community events with our son.
Location: 
Larger home located in Woodbury. Lower level is completely accessible and includes a major AV/electronic game system set-up.   Our son enjoys video and computer games, Legos, going on community outings, seeing movies, and being able to interact with peers in the community.
